Oriental Papermaking Fibres

Peach/Red

All of these fibres have been observed staining Peach/red in colour.

Cotton

Flax

Hemp

Cotton fibres can be distinguished from the other fibres as it has no cross-markings or dislocations and appears twisted and ribbon-like. Hemp and Flax fibres are very hard to distinguish, although generally Hemp fibres are wider and end in broader fibre ends than the more narrow fibre ends in Flax.
