Notes:

Although not commonly used in paper-making in Asia, wheat is sometimes used in novelty and craft papers. The fibres are identifiable by narrow, thick walled fibres with blunt or pointed ends. There are often thin walled, shorter, pitted fibres which are wider than the typical fibres. The Parenchyma cells are rounded or barrel like with thin walls and fine pitting. Large epidermal cells, 0.3-0.5mm, are present and are often double sided, rectangular, saw toothed [14].
